MEET THE DIRECTOR

Nancy Bowen is a Certified Economic Developer with over 20 years experience in the field of community economic development. She obtained a Master of Urban and Regional Planning with a concentration in Economic Development from the Louisiana State University, New Orleans Lakefront Campus in 1990. She became certified as an economic developer in 1993 through the International Economic Development Council.

In April, 1999, she began the position of OSU Extension Educator for Community Economic Development for Van Wert County, Ohio. She accepted the position to take advantage of a unique opportunity to live and work in a small town that offers a very good quality of life.

On May 14, 2001 Darlene Myers began as an Information Assistant with the Van Wert County Ohio State University Extension office of Economic Development. She presently serves as the Program Coordinator for the Revolving Loan Fund.

Darlene has a Bachelor’s Degree from Wright State University in Business Administration, with a major in Marketing. She has lived in Van Wert County since birth and resides within the Convoy area with her husband and three children.
