VW INNOVATION CENTER
The Innovation Center is a small business incubator program that offers professional services to support business development, including tenants in or outside the incubator walls. Support includes:
Business Consultation, Business and Industrial Training, and Customized On-Site Training for Business/Industry.
The Wright State University Business Enterprise Center, Rhodes State College and Vantage Career Center partner to provide educational and training services. Classes will be available for the general public this fall. Classes are taught in the Innovation Center, and held by Wright State University Lake Campus.
The VW Innovation Center was established in 2004 by the Community Improvement Corporation and is a member of the National Business Incubation Association. The center is housed at 738 Fox Rd which allows easy access to all local highways in the Van Wert area. This has 34,000 sq.ft of Warehouse, Distribution, and Manufacturing space, with 7,200 sq.ft. of office area.
To be accepted as a client in the Innovation Center:
1. Submit a business plan to the Operations Advisory Board for review and consideration.
2. If a positive evaluation is reached, the applicant is invited to lease operational space to house the business activity.
3. The client is provided business advice and guidance is made available by a group of activce and retired business people; as well as assistance in finding a permanent location in Van Wert County when the business is fully functioning and fiancially stable.
